Volkswagen Passat Variant - station wagon class D. The drive of the machine is front. Regardless of the configuration, the range of Volkswagen Passat Variant engines consists of two turbocharged engines - a 160-horsepower 1.8-liter gasoline engine, as well as a 140-horsepower 2-liter diesel engine. But the choice of transmission directly depends on the level of equipment. If in the initial configuration of Trendline both engines work exclusively with a six-speed manual gearbox, then in the Comfortline and Highline trim levels for a gasoline engine, a robotic seven-speed DSG dual-clutch gearbox is also available.
The station wagon has the same ground clearance as the sedan. Volkswagen Passat - about 14 centimeters. But the volume of the trunk is much larger - 603 liters versus 565. If you fold the rear seats, then the size of the luggage compartment of the station wagon will increase to 1731 liters. The station wagon also has a crossover modification, which is called Passat Alltrack and is distinguished by an off-road body kit, ground clearance increased to 16.5 centimeters, as well as the presence of an all-wheel drive system.
