Volkswagen CC - the second model after Volkswagen Phaeton, with which the company decided to enter the premium segment. Seeing an unoccupied niche in the "four-door coupe" segment, the ancestor of which was Mercedes-Benz CLS, Volkswagen decided to develop a similar model, but at a more "popular" price. Taking the Volkswagen Passat platform as a basis, the company created and introduced a new model in 2008.

Volkswagen CC (Comfort Coupe) differs from its co-platform in a dynamic design with an original sloping roof, the absence of window frames in the doors, which adds to the car a visual resemblance to real coupes. You should also take into account the higher level of decoration and equipment. In 2011, the model was updated and the car received new light optics, a radiator grill, and bumpers. Modernization has also affected the interior, which has a new center console and better finishing materials.

Volkswagen CC is available both in front-wheel drive and with the proprietary 4Motion all-wheel drive system. The latter is offered only in tandem with the most powerful 300-horsepower petrol “six” with a volume of 3.6 liters. The only possible transmission in this case is a six-speed dual-clutch DSG preselective “robot”. For front-wheel drive modifications, only four-cylinder engines are available - two petrol engines of 1.8 (160 hp) and 2 liters (210 hp), as well as a 140-horsepower two-liter diesel engine. Depending on the chosen power plant, buyers are offered a six-speed "mechanics" or a six- and seven-speed "robot".

Volkswagen traditionally offers a variety of options and add-on packages that allow customers to choose the right equipment or personalize the car's appearance. For Europe, the Volkswagen CC is produced in Germany.
