The Volkswagen Golf SportWagen is an American variant of the Golf Variant. The public premiere of the current generation of the model took place in April 2014 at the New York Auto Show. Compared to its predecessor, the Jetta SportWagen, the wagon added 28 mm (4562 mm) in length and also became 22 mm (1481 mm) lower. One of the "trump cards" of this car is a roomy trunk. So in the normal state, it holds 605 liters, and with the backs of the second row folded down - 1620 liters. 

The production of the Golf SportWagen is organized in Mexico, where 1.8 TSI petrol turbo engines with a capacity of 170 hp are installed on the five-door. (EA888) and diesel 2.0 TDI with a return of 150 hp. (EA288). The first is combined with a mechanical five-speed and a 6-speed "automatic", the second is paired with a six-speed manual transmission or with a six-band "robot" DSG with dual clutch.

Ukrainian importer of Volkswagen announced its intention to bring the Golf Sportvagen in July 2017. Moreover, it was decided to bring to our market a batch of diesel cars of the 2016 model year (actual production - the second half of 2015) with DSG, which never made it to American car dealerships due to Volkswagen's decision to stop selling "heavy fuel" cars. As part of the adaptation to domestic standards, the "Americans" acquired European lighting equipment, but retained the dual scales of dashboards with miles and kilometers. 

Diesel VW Golf SportWagen with "robot" accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.7 seconds. And fuel consumption, according to the manufacturer, is 4.3 l/100 km in the extra-urban cycle, 6.3 l/100 km in the urban cycle and 5.0 l/100 km in the combined cycle.

There are two complete sets - the initial S and the top SEL. Already in the basic equipment, the station wagon boasts 8 airbags, ESP, an XDS differential lock electronic simulation system, a recoil system, a keyless entry system and a push-button engine start. Also installed mechanical air conditioning, cruise control, multimedia system with touch screen, 8 speakers, power windows front and rear doors. The more expensive version additionally provides a sunroof, sports-type front seats with adjustable lumbar support and heating, dual-zone climate control and other equipment.
