Volkswagen Phaeton - the first luxury sedan in the history of Volkswagen. Standard equipment includes an all-wheel drive system and air suspension for all wheels. Vehicle length - 5060 mm. A Long version is also available up to 5180 mm. The back sofa can be either three- or two-seater.

The history of the model began in 2002, when Volkswagen decided to embody all its technical achievements in one car. They became a representative sedan, named Phaeton. The car was conceived as a competitor to luxury BMW 7 Series And Mercedes-Benz S-Class, therefore, Phaeton is offered a high-quality leather interior, noble wood inserts, electric seats, massage, ventilation and memory function, four-zone climate control. Eight airbags, anti-lock brakes, brake force distribution, emergency braking, traction control, and road stability are responsible for safety. Also available for the model are the new Side Assist and Front Assist systems, which, using sensors, can prevent a side or frontal collision.

An updated version of the model, which was presented in 2010 at the Beijing Motor Show, is being sold in Ukraine. Basically, the modernization touched on the appearance of the sedan. Phaeton received a front end style unified with the model range of the brand, new light optics.

The range of engines for the Ukrainian market consists of gasoline engines - a 3.6-liter V6 (280 hp), a 4.2-liter V8 (335 hp) and a six-liter W12 (450 hp), which provides accelerating dynamics at the level of sports cars. With a 450-horsepower engine, the Volkswagen Phaeton accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.1 seconds. The V6 and V8 engines are paired with a six-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission, while the W12 engine is paired with a five-speed automatic transmission.
